Commercial Sound & PA Public Address Paging Systems are comprised of power mixer amplifiers, outdoor loudspeakers or horns (with in line speaker transformers), volume controls or attenuators, and a telephone system interface, depending on your phone company set up. We carry a extensive line of 70v power amplifiers/mixers with features such as volume controls, bass and treble controls, etc., that are built into the commercial amp/mixer to make it a one stop solution. Most commercial amplifiers have speaker outputs for 4/8/16 ohms, 25 & 70 Volt.
With a Commercial Sound /PA Audio System, one does not have to worry about keeping the impedance matched throughout their audio system as they would on an 8 ohm based system. Impedance is a measure of resistance and in a 8 ohm system if you hook up too many speakers to one amp the impedance will change to dangerous levels and potentially destroy the amplifier. However, here you wire the loudspeakers in parallel with transformers, which regulate the wattage going into each of the speakers. To calculate the wattage of the power amp mixer needed to run your system, simply take the total wattage of all the taps on your speakers and include a 20% buffer, just to be safe. Moreover, all the taps do not need to be set at the same wattage, hence, you can thereby set the volume for different loud speakers when the power amplifier mixer is at one constant volume.
