70 Volt Horns
, even referred to as loudspeakers sometimes, are an excellent addition to 70v Commercial, Distributed Audio, and PA Public Address Systems. You will often see 70v Horns in campgrounds, at race tracks, at fairgrounds and countless other places in which there is a need for distribution of Voice or Music Audio. Regular 70 Volt Speakers do not give you the targeted directional sound that is needed to carry audio long distances outdoors. Hence, we incorporate horns into our PA Public Address or Commercial Distributed Audio System and one can make announcements to the public in a loud outdoor setting.

As with standard 8 Ohm speakers or , 70 Volt Horns must have in line transformers mounted on them to be used in a 70v system. Here at GIN We carry a full line of Horns that already have a transformer mounted to them. Conversely, you can also buy 70v in line transformers and connect them to regular 8 ohm speakers or Horns. The transformers that are used are step-down transformers that convert the high-voltage/low-current coming from the amplifier to the low-voltage/high-current signal that makes the commercial audio speaker work. Each transformer usually has multiple wattage taps so that each loudspeaker can be individually set as to how much wattage will enter, because of this, how loud each one will be.

With a set up as such, one does not have to worry about keeping the impedance matched throughout their music system as they would on an 8 ohm based system. Impedance is a measure of resistance. In a 8 ohm system if you hook up too many speakers to one amp the impedance will change to dangerous levels and potentially destroy the amplifier. However, with transformers, you can wire the system in parallel because the transformers that regulate the wattage going into each of the speakers. To calculate the wattage of the amp needed to run your system, simply take the total wattage of all the taps and include a 20% buffer, just to be safe. Moreover, all the taps do not need to be set at the same watts, hence, you can thereby set the volume for different speakers when the amp is at one constant volume. Thus, you can distribute Music or Voice Audio over a wide area and to multiple locations with a single, or maybe a couple amps. . .

We began selling over the internet in the year 2000. In the huge world of the internet, a little unknown company like GIN Electronics is easily lost. Hence, we treat our customers with great respect and give them great customer service and thus we have been getting many customers by word of mouth from our satisfied customers. We also, for customer security, have implemented Paypal as a means of payment. Paypal is probably the safest and most trusted means of payment on the internet.

The long-term goal for GIN Electronics is of course to stay in business and prepare for the future. However, a home with a good AudioVideo System is a harmonious home, and we plan on spreading the wealth of music and theater as long as we have customers that want to enjoy them as much as we do.

Here at GIN, we will point you in the correct direction and put together a system that fits your needs and budget. Once we have completed a win-win transaction, we can all relax and enjoy a dry martini. Good Day & Cheers!
