unto me as gentle rain,
whispering soft snow;
to glide across a moonlit pond,
to tap upon our boat.
sailing with the sunset,
away a feather flees;
within her arms, upon the breasts,
her physiognomy.
vision from the soul,
why does a mind thus blur?
a smile sent from heaven,
your eyes I do implore.
the way you walk entrancing,
flowing notes within a song,
your movements so enchanting,
thus I'll forever long.
your lips the moist as petals
of a flower in the rain,
so full and yet so subtle,
press them to mine again.
your strands of night sway gentle
as a feather on the breeze,
vision haunting vision
why must a soul thus flee?
a memory to borrow,
then you may fly with grace;
thus I shall turn in sorrow,
a tear befalls my face.
I realize with the dawn
your graciousness must flee,
but you've fled within the night-
can I no longer dream?
a
fool needs not his anonymity
for one may never hide from solitude.
listen, has it ever been this silent?
