Landscape Speakers are a true necessity for both the audiophile esthetic minded. Landscape speakers are not merely weatherproof, but they fit in with the gardening, patio, and other artistic aspects of the landscape. This can be both in a residential setting, as ones garden, lawn, patio, or decorative walkway; and in commercial settings, as golf courses, resorts, theme parks and the like.
My favorite type of landscape or patio speakers are outdoor rock speakers. They come in multiple colors and shapes, are very hardy as far as the weather goes, and can have a awesome sound if you spend some time choosing the right ones. They come in coaxial models, dual voice coil models, and 70 volt switchable models, for large commercial applications.
Another neat type of landscape speaker is the burial in ground speaker. They almost always come in green, to match your lawn of course, and they give you an awesome 360 degree sound. As with the rock models, they also come in a 70 volt switchable models, and well as models with built in lights and in ground subwoofers.
After my favorite two types of landscapes or patio speakers, we come across models as planter / flower pot and light pole speakers and the like. Often these are great for esthetics, but the sound quality is truly lacking; it merely depends if they are for true listening or merely some background music and appearance.
Outdoor Speakers are made to handle the elements and are great for residential and some commercial applications. They are simply a great inexpensive way to enjoy music outside.
